There are currently 393 million tons of plastic (2019 figures) floating on the surface of the sea, after being disintegrated into micro, nano, and pico sized pieces of plastic which become a potential threat to the ocean ecosystem and human health. It also caused more than 260 types of seafood recorded to be entangled in plastic bottles or ingest plastic bags or pieces of plastic. And there are many other negative effects that make every citizen need to consciously change their previous consumption habits.

For instance, when buying some trifling items, you should hold them in your individual bags instead of using extra plastic bags.
Stop wasting food
Higher living quality creates a habit of excessive cooking to our eating capacity which is wasteful. Cooking or ordering food in a reasonable way is also to minimize the amount of waste dumped into the environment, which is a practical way to reduce the pressure on the food industry. This action will help lessen the usage of forest land for agriculture, curtail chemicals in animal husbandry.
Use environmentally friendly materials
Instead of using plastic straws, you should use straws made from bamboo, glass, etc. Paper products and plastic cups should be replaced with reusable porcelain cups and glass mugs. These products are not only environmentally friendly but also harmless to your health.
Using high-quality and long durability products
Unreasonable shopping and consuming are the causes of the increasing amount of solid waste. We should choose quality products rather than quantity purchases.
